SELF-KNOWLEDGE
looking inside
In this society full of external stimuli, we are used to looking outside ... We spend the day consuming and I do not mean objects, but rather that we occupy our time in aspects "alien" to us. We are very little used to being with ourselves, to looking within.
Questioning ourselves: who am I, what is important to me, what I want in my life and what I don't ...
Observe ourselves: what happens to me, why in certain situations I have those emotions, why I cannot stand that person, what happens inside me ...
The true scope of well-being and happiness lies with yourself. Because there is no greater sense of calm than being at peace with oneself, being clear about who we are and where we are going.
BEING
We are each a product of our moments and circumstances. This is called personality; how we develop and act in our lives. Personality is the result of our genes, experiences and learning.
On the one hand we have our temperament , which is the basis, what we have inherited genetically, and the tendency to behave that we have been expressing since we were little. And, on the other, there is the environment in which we grow up, the experiences to which we expose ourselves and the lessons we learn from them.
STRENGTHS AND LIMITATIONS
Being aware of our strengths and limitations will help us in personal development. Allying ourselves with them: thanking our virtues and welcoming our limitations. In order to find ways to improve having oneself as a reference.
INTERNAL CONGRUENCE
Internal Congruence occurs when there is a relationship between what I think and what I say. And also between what I say and what I do.
When you do not express what you think, you weaken ... because you are not allowing yourself to express your being.
You can feel bad about yourself when you don't do what you say you are going to do. Your self-esteem may decrease because you think that you are not capable of achieving or doing what you have proposed.
VALUES
A person's Values are what guide his life, it is like his own compass. Sometimes, due to social pressure, we lose our way of what we really want in our lives. Therefore, it is very important to question ourselves and be clear in which direction we want to go in each of our areas of life, and which are the most important.
